PURPOSE:To position a record reproducing moving part near the center of a moving range even at the time of pulling in a servo by controlling an actuator driving circuit so that a current to flow to an actuator can be a prescribed value and after that, starting the tracking servo pulling-in. CONSTITUTION:The current is flown from a driving circuit 31 to a tracking actuator 16 and this current value is detected by a coil current detector 33. On the other hand, the output voltage of a voltage generator 34 is inputted to the driving circuit 31 and a voltage is generated so that the detected current value of the current detector 33 can be zero. Accordingly, the current is not flown to the tracking actuator 16 and an objective lens is positioned at the center of the moving range in a tracking direction. The servo pulling-in is executed in a condition that the objective lens is positioned near the center of the moving range of the objective lens to an optical head main body. Thus, the record reproducing means moving part can be always positioned near the center of the moving range at the time of pulling in the servo.
