Abstract
PURPOSE:To compensate the waveform of an image pickup element driving signal with simple constitution without increasing the size by providing a circuit which compensates the waveform distortion of the driving element due to the length of an electronic endoscope in the take-up drum of the endoscope. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal driving pulses phiH1 and phiH2 and a reset pulse phiR are supplied to the take-up drum 41 through a signal connector 35 and amplified to specific voltages by two horizontal driving circuits 61 and 62 and a reset driving circuit 63 in it respectively. The outputs of the horizontal driving circuits 61 and 62 and reset driving circuit 63 are supplied to differentiating circuits (phase compensating circuit) 64 and 66 for waveform compensation to compensate the distortion of the waveform previously. For the purpose, the whole take-up drum is connected as a waveform compensating means characteristic of each electronic endoscope to a common signal processing means, to perform image pickup operation under proper driving conditions with the simple constitution even when the electronic endoscope is different in the length, etc., of its signal cable.
