Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency and machining accuracy by providing a carrying device which carries a pallet mounting an optical cable, a termination matching device which performs cutting, inspecting, ferrule inserting, and fixing operation, and an inspection device. CONSTITUTION:A vertical conveyance part 15 mounts the optical cable on a pallet 11 on a platform 14' while holding the platform at an upper stage level. A control board 20 is operated to move the pallet 11 to in front of the control board 20, and the optical cable terminal is clamped by clamps 111-114 or some of them added to the pallet and held vertically while the curvature of the optical cable is corrected. This pallet 11 is moved forth by an upper stage conveyance part 12 along termination machining devices such as cutting devices 30 and 40, the inspection device 50, and fixing devices 60 and 70 to perform processes of disconnection, inspection, fixation, etc., by the respective termination machining devices. Consequently, manual operation is eliminated, so the efficiency is improved and the obtained accuracy of terminal machining is also improved.
