Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain a high-quality substrate metal-sprayed in the required part, by placing a substrate on the surface of a breakable base and masking the part other in the part to be thermally sprayed with a masking material which is breakable and also capable of withstanding thermal spraying. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 is placed in the center of the surface of a breakable base 3 composed of gypsum, etc., in the bottom of a hollow outer frame 2, and then, a fixing and masking material 4 consisting of a mixture, etc., of gypsum and cement is formed into fluidized state and poured between the outer frame 2 and the substrate 1 to fix the substrate 1 to the base 3. Subsequently, exposure of surface is carried out so that only the surface, to be thermally sprayed, of the substrate 1 is completely allowed to appear. After drying, WC, etc., are thermally sprayed on the surface to be thermally sprayed, and then, the substrate 1 is taken out by breaking the base 3 and the masking material 4, and the masking material 4 is removed by means of ultrasonic cleaning, etc. By this method, the substrate 1 can be easily obtained without injury.
