Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of the rotary shaft front end section and facilitate the maintenance and inspection of the pitch angle operating unit by operating the pitch angle of a blade from the inside of a nacelle on the fixed side via an operating rod inserted into the rotary shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A nacelle 2 is horizontally rotatably supported at the upper end section of a tower 1. In this case, a rotary shaft 3 is fitted in the nacelle 2 via a bearing 4, and a generator 6 is connected to the rotary shaft 3 via a step-up gear 5. A yoke 7 is fitted to the extended section of the rotary shaft 3, and a teeter pin 8 is suspended on the yoke 7. A pair of blades 10, 11 are rotatably fitted via a bearing 12 on both side faces of hubs 9 rotatably fitted at both end sections of the teeter pin 8. An operating rod 15 is slidably inserted into the shaft hole 14 of the rotary shaft 3 to change the pitch angle of the blades 10, 11, and a pitch angle operating unit 16 is connected at the front end section of the operating rod 15.
