Abstract
PURPOSE:To sharply increase an amount of a conductive polymer with which a separator is impregnated, to reduce a dielectric loss and an equivalent series resistance value and to enhance a capacitance value by carbonizing the separator. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element which has been manufactured by using a separator composed of a sheet of Manila paper or the like is heat-treated in the air at 200-400 deg.C; the separator is carbonized. As a conductive polymer with which the element is impregnated, e.g., polyprrole, polyaniline or a derivative of them is used as expressed by formula I (where R1 and R2 indicate hydrogen, halogen, an alkyl group, aryl group or alkylaryl group, respectively; R1 and R2 may take a cryclis structure. In addition, X indicates oxygen, sulfur or NR3, where N indicates nitrogen and R3 indicates hydrogen, an alkyl group, aryl group or alkylaryl group) or by formula II (where R4-R8 indicate hydrogen, halogen, an alkyl group, aryl group or alkylaryl group).
