Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain cashing of coupon ticket without the need for extended machine numbers and increased officers' job load by providing a selection means of exchange/cashing, a calculation means for monetary amount equivalent to remaining exchangeable number, a cashing means and a coupon ticket recovery means. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic stripe 61 is formed on each coupon 60, an exchangeable number is stored in its area 62. When a coupon ticket is inserted, a main control section 10 of the automatic exchange machine discriminates the validity of the coupon ticket at first and accepts it when valid. When a cash back key is depressed, the control section 10 discriminates the key depression to be cashing of the coupon ticket and proceeds the cashing process. In the cashing process, at first, the cashed back monetary amount is calculated based on the valid exchange number of the coupon ticket. Then, the monetary amount is displayed on a display section 15 to accept depression of an enter key. When the enter key is depressed, the cash to be cashed back is fed from a paper money processing section 19 and a coin processing section 20 used as the money exchange and discharged, the coupon ticket is recovered in a card recovery box and then the processing is made complete.
