Abstract
PURPOSE:To insert and fix a ring automatically and to efficiency improve the operation by inserting and fixing the ring into the root of a high-strength fiber material while blowing air from a blowing-up device and inverting the high-strength fiber material. CONSTITUTION:The terminal of an optical cable 1 is sent to a specific position of an optical cable terminal machining device while the high-strength fiber material is exposed by cutting its sheath part by proper length. This optical cable terminal is clamped at the specific position by a clamping device 10 and fixed so that it does not move at the time of the ring insertion. Then the ring sent from a parts feeder 20 is held on a lift one by one for each optical cable and then lifted to specific height. This ring is clamped by the clamping device 10 and air is blown from the blowing-up device 50 provided below it through the small hole of the ring to insert the ring into the terminal of the optical cable. When the insertion is completed, the ring is clamped by the clamp of a fixing device and this is compressed and fixed.
