Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce an adjustable stroke and enlarge an adjustable range of relief pressure by changing an area closing an exhaust port of a valve disc in accordance with the rotation of the valve disc. CONSTITUTION:A relief valve 4 consists of an exhaust port 40 (not shown) for connecting a pressure chamber 10 to an inlet chamber 12, and a valve disc 41 for closing an opening in the side of the inlet chamber 12 of the exhaust port 40 (not shown) by energizing a spring 42 arranged in the inlet chamber 12. The valve disc 41 is designed to rotate integrally with a rotary body 5 arranged rotatably in the inlet chambers 12, and to be slidable axially relative to the rotary body 5. When the rotary body 5 is rotated around the shaft so as to produce a condition where the valve disc 41 does not close a part of the exhaust port 40, the relief pressure is substantially lowered, and the pressure of a fluid delivered from a discharge port is also reduced.
