Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an inertia guidance system together with its cost reduction by using signals equal to two axes of a rate gyro of a homing guidance system for inertia guidance. CONSTITUTION:A flying object body 1 contains an inertia guidance system 2 and a homing guidance system 3. The system 2 includes a uniaxial rate gyro 4 and a 3-axial direction accelerometer 5 which are fixed to the body 1. While the system 3 includes a biaxial gimbals 6 which can turn both pitch and yaw axes of the body 1 and a target detector 7 and a biaxial rate gyro 8 which are set on the gimbals 6. When the inertia guidance is carried out, the gimbals 6 containing the gyro 8 is caged by a caging means 9 and the output equal to two axes is supplied to the system 2 from the gyro 8. Thus the system 2 can secure the rate gyro output equal to three axes and needed for the inertia guidance. In such a constitution, both systems 2 and 3 are integrated together for reduction of the cost of a guidance device.
