Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain stable Q/M of a toner by incorporating a metallic salt of fatty acid into the coating layer of a carrier and a positively polarizing agent into the toner. CONSTITUTION:This developer is composed of a carrier contg. a metallic salt of fatty acid in the coating layer and a toner contg. a styrene-based polymer as a resin binder and a positively polarizing agent. The styrene-based polymer may be polystyrene and the metallic salt of fatty acid may be cadmium stearate. Thus, the Q/M of the toner can be stabilized, and when the developer is used, a clear image having high image density can stably be obtd. with high transfer efficiency.
