Abstract
PURPOSE:To consume a large amount of ozone within a short time and to reduce the concn. of the residual ozone, by generating ozone in air by performing discharge in air and mixing fine particulate water mist with the generated ozone gas to convert said ozone gas to ozone fog. CONSTITUTION:An ozone sterilizing apparatus is equipped with an ozone generating means for generating ozone in air by the discharge in air, a spray means 2 for finely dividing water into mist and a mixing means 3 mixing the mist from the spray means 2 with the ozone gas to discharge said ozone gas. The ozone generating means 2 consists of a compressed air source 4, an oxygen cylinder 5 and an ozone generating means main body IA. Oxygen is added to and mixed with air from the oxygen cylinder and the air high in oxygen content is used to generate ozone. Whereupon, high concn. ozone can be generated. The ozone sterilizing apparatus has a spray nozzle 17 of dry fog and the spray nozzle 17 sprays water in a mist form to mix ozone with the mist. The spray nozzle 17 generates extremely fine particulate ozone fog and an article to be sterilized can be effectively sterilized without being wetted.
