Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely ground two front and rear lines of bristles on a surface to be cleaned to provide an inlet body that is excellent in dust absorption and travels well by providing the two lines of bristles over the front and rear of the vertical of a straight line passing the fulcrum of rotation of a joint pipe, and locating the two front and rear lines of bristles so that they sandwich a vertical line passing the center of gravity of the inlet main body. CONSTITUTION: Of the two front and rear lines of bristles 13, 14 of a brush 11, the rear bristles 14 are stretched over the front and rear of the vertical which includes a portion vertical to and below a straight line l passing the fulcrum of rotation of the rotating pipe 32 of a joint pipe 31 and which passes the straight line l. The two front and rear lines of bristles 13, 14 are located, respectively, in front of and behind the vertical passing the center of gravity G of an inlet main body 1 except the joint pipe 31. When the inlet main body 1 is pushed forward and also when the inlet main body 1 is pulled backward, the two front and rear lines of bristles are both held grounded on a surface to be cleaned and are exerted with uniform operating loads. Further when the inlet main body 1 separated from the surface to be cleaned is grounded again, the cleaner is always grounded not from the inlet main body 1 but from the bristles because of the relative positions of the bristles, the fulcrum of rotation of the joint pipe, and the center of gravity.
