Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain common processing of a sensor to plural controls by converting an analog sensor output signal to a digital value, using it to one control system, applying pulse width modulation at the same time and giving the result to other control system. CONSTITUTION:Engine control and transmission control are applied by a throttle position sensor. A signal of a potentiometer 1 as a position sensor interlocked with a throttle valve is digitized by an A/D converter 3 and the result is fed to a CPU 4. The signal is subjected to arithmetic processing, enters an engine electronic control module via an interface 5 and used for engine control. The signal is subjected to pulse width modulation at the CPU 4 at the same time, fed to the transmission electronic control unit 6, processed by the CPU 8 and outputted as the transmission control signal. Since pulse width modulation is applied, no care for is required and the sensor is used in common.
