Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a valuable data to be stored, from being broken down, by providing a comparator for deciding whether an address which is read out of an optical disk is within a set range or not to set a recording inhibited area. CONSTITUTION:When an address value C inputted to a comparator 11 from an address reading circuit 10 is smaller than a set value A or larger than a set value B, the output of the comparator goes to 'H', and by an AND circuit 12, a recording command signal J is inputted as it is to a laser driving circuit 13, therefore, a laser 2 emits a light beam by recording power and a data is recorded. When the address value C is above the set value A and below B, the output of the comparator goes to 'L', and even if the recording command signal J is inputted by mistake, since the input to a terminal 131 of the laser driving circuit 13 remains 'L' by the AND circuit 12, the recording power is not generated. In such a way, the breakdown of a valuable data caused by erroneous recording can be prevented.
