Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of terminals for address signals by providing an internal counter and giving a clear pulse and a count pulse to this counter. Contents of the counter 21 are incremented by the horizontal count pulse from a terminal 13. Consequently, the sequentially changing horizontal address signal is outputted from the counter 21. Since the horizontal address has nH-number of bits and terminals 11, 12, and 13 are provided instead of nH-number of terminals, the number of terminals is reduced by nH-3. If the power input terminal 11 is unnecessary, the number of terminals is reduced by nH-2.
