Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a vinyl chloride polymer film for agricultural use having an ultraviolet transmission increasing with time, by using a vinyl chloride polymer as a main component and adding a specific beta-diketone compound exhibiting absorptivity in an ultraviolet zone having specific wavelength. CONSTITUTION:The objective film contains (A) 100pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride polymer, (B) 40-55pts.wt. of a phthalate-type plasticizer, (C) 0.5-5pts.wt. of a nonionic surfactant composed of a higher fatty acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol (the higher fatty acid contains 70-100wt.% of C16-18 saturated fatty acid), (D) 0.01-1pt.wt. of a compound containing polyfluoroalkyl group and/or a compound containing polydimethylsiloxane group, (E) 0.1-10pts.wt. of a hydrotalcite compound, (F) 0.01-1pt.wt. of a beta-diketone compound (preferably dibenzoylmethane) exhibiting absorptivity in an ultraviolet zone of 290-380nm wavelength and increasing the transmission of the light of the above ultraviolet zone when exposed to sunlight and preferably (G) 0.01-1pt.wt. of an ultraviolet absorber. The film may have a specific polymer film on one side.
