Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an aromatic polyketone copolymer containing two specific kinds of constituent units at a specific ratio and having high heat-deformation temperature and glass transition temperature, a specific intrinsic viscosity, moderate melting point and excellent melt-moldability and heat-resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective aromatic polyketone copolymer composed of 50-85mol% (preferably 60-85mol%) of the constituent unit of formula I and 15-50mol% (preferably 15-40mol%) of the constituent unit of formula II and has an intrinsic viscosity of >=0.5 and preferably a glass transition temperature of 169-194 deg.C and a melting point of 287-357 deg.C.
