Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance color forming properties and the stability of developed color images, by incorporating an electron-donative colorless dye, an electron- acceptive compound and two specified compounds. CONSTITUTION:One of two specified compounds is an ether, ester or hydrocarbon having at least one aromatic ring and a melting point of not more than 135 deg.C (compound A), while the other is an organic compound having a melting point of at least 140 deg.C (compound B). The aromatic ring in the compound A may be a single ring or a condensed ring, e.g., benzene ring, naphthalene ring, furan ring, thiophene ring or naphthothiophene ring. The compound B may be an ether having an aromatic ring, preferably polyether, an acid having an aromatic ring, an acid amide or the like. An inorganic dye is at least one triphenylmethanephthalide compound, fluoran compound or the like. An electron- acceptive compound for coloring by making contact with the colorless dye may be an inorganic or organic Lewis acid or Brensted acid.
