Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a nonadhesive elastic body roller for fixation which can secure the releasing performance of toner and paper by dividing the nonadhesive layer of the nonadhesive elastic body roller into a lower and an upper layer and making the opening rate of the lower part larger than that of the upper layer part. CONSTITUTION:Plural nonadhesive layers 5 are formed on the outer peripheral surface of a base rubber layer 2 impregnated with oil for offset prevention such as silicone oil. The nonadhesive layers 5 are porous and has oil permeability, and the lower layer part 3 is larger in porosity than the upper layer part 4. When paper to be fixed passes this nonadhesive elastic body roller 1, the oil such as silicone oil that the base rubber layer 2 contains penetrates pores, etc., of the nonadhesive lower layer 3 with larger porosity as the roller is driven and then moves to the upper layer part 4 with small porosity to ooze to the outer peripheral surface of the nonadhesive layer 5. Consequently, the permeability of oil from the base rubber layer 2 is excellent and the oil coating amount of oil oozing to the outer peripheral surface of the nonadhesive layer 5 is held proper, so the releasing performance of toner and paper is improved more to prevent effectively the outer peripheral surface of the roller from being stained and the nonadhesive layer 5 from wearing.
