Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove an additive from a molded article in a short time, by covering most of a powder molded article containing an additive with an airtight polymer thin film, pressurizing the covered face under static pressure and maintaining the open face under reduced pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Ceramic powder is blended with an additive (polystyrene) and molded into a powder molded article 3. Part of the surface of the powder molded article is left as an open face 1 and the residual part is covered with an airtight resin thin film 2 having ≥about 10μ thickness by using a vinyl acetate-based emulsion. In the operation, the area of the open face 1 is about 0.5W20% based on the whole surface area. Then the face covered with the thin film 2 is pressurized under static pressure by a pressurizing solution 6 and space part 7 adjoining the open face 1 is maintained under reduced pressure (at least about 500mmHgabs.) by a vacuum generator. Consequently the additive can be scattered and removed in a short time without giving rise to defects such as cracks and fractures in the powder molded article 3.
