Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A pintle 2 consisting of a conical tip part 2B and a nearly section-trapezoidal base end 2A is slidably fitted in the trapezoidal groove 3 installed in a rear cover 1A constituting a housing 1. And, each piston 6 is radially inserted into plural cylinder bores 5 formed in a cylinder barrel 4 to be rotatably fitted in the tip part 2B of the pintle 2. In a suchlike converter, a pressure pocket 21 is concavely installed in a tip surface of the pintle 2, and a hollow auxiliary piston 22 is slidably fitted in this pressure pocket 21. Then, a spherical tip part 22a of this auxiliary piston 22 is made slidably contact with a vertical sliding surface 13a of the inner surface central part of an opposed torque ring 13 and supported via a piston shoe 24.
