Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in the balance among moisture resistance, gasoline resistance, resistance to migration of plasticizer, etc. capability of forming a high-solid coating, and workability, by dissolving a polymer of a specified ethylenically unsaturated monomer in an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:An ethylenically unsaturated monomer (e.g., methyl methacrylate) preferably containing at least 50wt.% at least one member selected from among alkyl (meth)acrylates is polymerized at 60-130 deg.C in a solvent in the presence of a polymerization initiator to obtain a polymer (A) of a number-average MW of 10,000-100,000, preferably, 20,000-70,000, an MW dispersity of 1.2-2.0, preferably, 1.2-1.6 and a glass transition temperature of 20-90 deg.C, preferably, 40-70 deg.C. Component A is dissolved in an organic solvent (B) (e.g., toluene), and an inorganic pigment, an organic pigment, a curing agent, etc. (C) are optionally added to the solution.
