Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an ultraviolet radiation-curing self-adhesive composition with desirable adhesive properties to be manufactured inexpensively and efficiently, by mixing a dithiocarbamate-terminated polymer, liquid vinyl monomers and a photoinitiator. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet radiation-curing self-adhesive composition comprises: (a) a dithiocarbamate-terminated polymer, (b) liquid vinyl monomers being at least partly multifunctional vinyl monomers, and (c) a photoinitiator. The polymer (a) is obtained by polymerizing monovinyl monomers using an initiator with a dithiocarbamate group of formula 1 (wherein R<1> and R<2> each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group with 1-10C atoms); the average molecular weight thereof should be preferably in the range of 5,000-100,000 and the glass transition point thereof should be preferably 20 deg.C or below, more preferably 0 deg.C or below. The mixing proportion of the above composition is 25-90wt.% component (a), 5-70wt.% component (b) and 0.1-5wt.% component (c).
