Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the side pressure of an ear pad and an oppressive sensation and to prevent the deterioration in sound pressure frequency characteristic of a headphone by making the ear pad a two devided structure consisting of the part of covering an ear and the part of touching the ear made by a soft material fitting to the ear without permeability. CONSTITUTION:A speaker unit 2 is attached at the central part of a baffle plate 1. At the inside of the forward circumference of it, the ear pad A3 touching the ear is attached and the ear pad B4 covering the ear along a cranium 5 is attached at the outside of it. The ear pad B4 is made of the outer skin material of an artificial leather and an urethane foam core material and made to be a dimensional perfectly covering the ear 6 along the cranium 5 when it is put on. Then the ear pad A3 is made of the independent urethane foam material of high magnification, of which height is lower than that of the ear pad B4. Besides, it is composed to minimize the capacity in the ear pad A3 by fitting to the ear when it is put on. Therefore, the pressure pushing the ear pad and the oppresive sensation of the closed mold headphone can be reduced without deteriorating the sound pressure level of a low sound area.
