The element 6 is driven with a voltage so that the vibrating and elongating/ contracting phases of the element 6-1 can become the same as those of the element 6-2 or 6-3 and opposite to those of the element 6-3 or 6-2. Therefore, the source 6 moves leftward or rightward. The other sources 7 and 8 are also constituted in the same way. When a vibrating type driving device is constituted in such a way, the size and weight of the device can be reduced, because the structure is simple and no rotationally driving mechanism is required.
