Abstract

PURPOSE:To clamp plural works different not only in size but also shape, to the same jig so as to reduce the number and kind of the jigs by allocating plural clamp members to every one of the respective works with different shapes and arranging them in accordance with the work shape. CONSTITUTION:In a pallet 1, an upper surface 1h on the obverse side of a flat main body portion 1a formed into a square truncated pyramid shape with a smooth slope edge line is finished with high accuracy, and a link mechanism is provided in a recessed portion on the reverse side thereof. Eight clamp arms 2-9 are provided in all: two exclusive arms and one shared arm for respective works W1, W2, and three exclusive arms for work W3, so that the surfaces thereof are liable to go along both sides of each fork portion f1, f2, f3 and projecting portions P1, P2, P3. And then, there are arranged natural locks 10, 11 serving as the cutting reaction force sources of the works W1, W2, and the positioning jigs 20, 21 of the work W3. With the pallet 1 kept in its horizontal position, clamping and unclamping actions are performed, and thereat, these actions are exerted by the effect of the synthesis of the vertical forward/ backward movement and the horizontal pivotal movement of rods 12-19 to which the respective arms 2-9 are fixed.
