Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a fin material capable of maintaining superior hydrophilic property when used for a heat exchanger, by forming a hydrophilic film on the surface of Al (alloy) and shot-blasting the surface of the film with inorg. fine grains. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic alkali silicate film 3 is formed on the surface of an Al (alloy) fin 2 and the surface of the film 3 is shot-blasted with inorg. fine grains such as glass or silicon carbide grains to produce a fin material 1 having a roughened surface 4. The fin material can maintain superior hydrophilic property by the synergism of the film 3 formed on the surface of the film 2 and the roughened surface 4 formed on the surface of the film 3.
