Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently separate and remove CO2 by introducing gas for regeneration into an adsorption tower held in a vacuum state and regenerating an adsorbent in a regenerating process of the adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:The gas (a) to be treated which contains H2, CH4, N2 and CO2 is introduced into an adsorption tower 1a and raised in pressure and thereafter CO2 is adsorbed and removed by a clinoptilolite-based adsorbent to obtain a gaseous product (b). On the other hand, an adsorption tower 1b is decompressed with a vacuum pump 2 and made vacuum to 500-5Torr and CO2 is desorbed. Then while keeping this vacuum state, the gaseous product (b) is allowed to flow into the adsorption tower 1b via a needle valve 3b for vacuumizing and purging and the regeneration of the adsorbent is performed. By such a way, the adsorption towers 1a, 1b are successively changed over and continuous operation is performed.
