Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the output of voices punctuated for each paragraph even with a difficult sentence and to ensure the effective correction of sentences, by securing such a constitution where the synthesized voices are delivered in a mode where the pauses are put among the paragraphs forming a sentence. CONSTITUTION:An input/output control part 2 takes a relevant Japanese sentence, e.g., 'KYO WA TENKI DESU' out of a document file 2-1 and sends it to a word identifying part 3 in response to an external request. The part 3 divides said sentence into four words 'KYO', 'WA', 'TENKI' and 'DESU'. The ways of reading and the grammar information are added to each of those four words. A paragraph setting part 4 compiles said four words into two paragraphs 'KYOWA' and 'TENKIDESU' by means of the grammar information. Then a pause is added after 'KYOWA' together with an accent given to 'TENKIDESU' through a rule synthesizing part 6. Thus a complete sentence is produced in voices 7.
