Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an article having an excellent fire-resistant property by impregnating a phenolic resin in a specific weight ratio into a fabric obtained by weaving glass fiber having more than a specific tensile elastic modulus and aramid fiber or silicon carbide fiber having an excellent rigidity higher than the glass fiber in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION: This fabric is formed by using 50-90 wt.% processed glass fiber having >=500 MPa tensile modulus and 50-10 wt.% fire-resistant fiber such as aramid fiber and silicon carbide fiber each having an excellent rigidity higher-than the glass fiber as a base. Furthermore, a phenolic resin in an amount of 30-60 wt.%, preferably 50-60 wt.% based on the product weight is impregnated into the fabric to obtain a product having an excellent fire-resistant property.
