Abstract
PURPOSE:To remarkably improve fluidity and blocking resistance, by coagulating a graft copolymer latex having a rubber as a backbone polymer, drying the coagulated copolymer and adding fine powder of a specific metallic compound to the dried copolymer. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polymer latex prepared by grafting 20-95pts.wt. grafting component (e.g. methyl methacrylate or styrene) onto 5-80pts.wt. rubber [preferably prepared by emulsion polymerizing 20-80pts.wt. butadiene with 0-50pts.wt. styrene, 0-20pts.wt. copolymerizable monomer and 0-5pts.wt. crosslinking agent] as a backbone polymer is coagulated, then preferably dehydrated and dried. (B) Fine powder, consisting of one more more of oxides, chlorides, hydroxides, carbonates and sulfates of metals selected from Si, Mg, Al, Ca, Ba, Zn and Ti and having <=10mum average particle diameter in an amount of 0.001-10pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. above-mentioned copolymer is added thereto.
