Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled material composed of a polyfunctional (meth) acylate, a filler and an acylphosphine oxide and having excellent stability of color tone and mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:The objective material is produced by compound (A) a polymerizable monomer selected from polyfunctional methacrylate and polyfunctional acrylate, e.g. ethylene glycol di(meth)acrylate with (B) a filler, preferably alumina having a refractive index of 1.60-1.70, particle diameter of 0.005-0.1mum and a specific surface area of 30-300m<2>/g and (C) an acylphosphine oxide, preferably 2,4,6-timrethylbenzoyldiphenylphosphine oxide as a photo-polymerization initiator. The material is heaped up on a tooth form model or a metal frame while forming the shape of dental crown and subjected to photosetting by irradiation with ultraviolet and/or visible light to obtain a dental crown.
