Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a thrust phenomenon at pulleys by making the diameter of the outer peripheries of plural pulleys, to which a belt is wound, in a taper form, and making the tapers of the pulleys in the direction to off set the thrust owing to the spiral teeth and the directions of the tapers inverse each other. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of the outer peripheries of two pulleys 2 and 3 to which a belt 1 with spiral teeth is wound are made in a taper form. And the outer gearing part of the pulley 2 is made smaller at the diameter in the direction of the thrust owing to the spiral teeth. As a result, a thrust is generated in the arrow A direction, but a thrust is also generated in the arrow B direction by forming the pulleys 2 and 3 in the taper form. That is, the tensile force is made larger at the larger diameter pulley side than at the smaller diameter side, and when the pulley 2 is rotated, the coming-in belt 1 is pulled to the larger tensile force side. Therefore, the thrust forces generated to the edge sides at the driving and the following pulleys 2 and 3 respectively are balanced in the belt 1.
