Abstract
PURPOSE: To boil rice with good performance without giving extra water to a rice boiling part with steam by furnishing a rice boiling device with, between a rice washing part and the rice boiling part, a water-drawing transport part which sends the rice to the rice boiling part while water cutting is conducted. CONSTITUTION: When rice grains washed by a rice washing device 7 are supplied into a rice grain elevation tank 4 from an opening 21, the rice grains flow into the rice grain elevation tank 4 together with the water, pass through a delivery pipe 2a of a lifting device 2, and are sent into one of immersing tanks 3. When this if filled, a selector valve 13 is operated so that the rice is supplied to the other immersing tank 3. When the immersing process is finished and rice boiling is to be started, a regulator valve 17 located under the immersing tanks 3 is opened, and the rice in the immersing tanks 3 is supplied to a lower situated water-cut transport part 18 and sent to the rice boiling part. Because the rice transport part 18 is arranged inclined as heightening from the starting part 19 gradually toward the termination part 20, the extra water flows on the oversurface of the transport part 18 down to the starting part 19, so that water cutting is conducted during transportation.
