CONSTITUTION:The region sandwiched by dead zones 2 existing on the innermost and outermost circumferences on the optical disk medium 1 is divided to a recordable region 3 and a recorded test region 4. Only the ID parts indicating sector positions are recorded in the respective sectors of the recordable region 3 and the data parts following the ID parts are in an unrecorded state and are provided in order to record the data given by a user by the optical disk device. The ID parts are recorded in the respective sectors of the recorded test region 4 and the test data are recorded in the data parts as well in the format different from the format of the prescribed specifications. The processing part for reading out is thereby tested without making the writing operation.
