Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the formation of beautiful ornamental designs on a magnetic card over the entire surface thereof without affecting a magnetic layer by completely shielding the magnetic layer of the card by a vapor deposited metallic layer and colored coated film. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic card is produced by forming a transfer sheet successively laminated with the colored coated film 5, the vapor deposited metallic film 4 and an adhesive agent layer 3 on a plastic base 6, and adhering the adhesive agent layer 3 side of said transfer sheet to the magnetic layer 2 side of a plastic sheet base material 1 having the magnetic layer 2, then stripping away the plastic base 6. The coated film layer 5 which completely hides the magnetic layer 2 and has high whiteness is thereby obtd. Further, the magnetic card which obviates the generation of a card reading error and is beautifully formed with the ornamental designs over the entire surface of the card is formed.
