CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. an o-quinonediazido compd. and a condensation resin consisting of substd. phenols represented by the formula and aldehydes and/or the o-naphthoquinonediazidosulfonic ester of the resin is formed on a support and a layer contg. a surfactant and a matting agent is formed on the surface of the photosensitive layer. The surfactant may be any of anionic, nonionic and cationic surfactants and a compd. soluble in a developing soln., e.g., a methyl methacrylate-acrylic acid copolymer may be used as the matting agent. In the formula, each of R1 and R2 is H, alkyl, etc., and R3 is (cyclo)alkyl.
