Abstract
PURPOSE:To discriminate the dedoidal phenomenon of a harmonic drive reduction gear, by displaying a signal outputted from a distance sensor secured to a holding member for measuring the displacement of the lateral surface of a flexible spline. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 3 is rotated by one rotation, a flexible spline 5 is expanded outward and/or contracted by a wave generator 4 mounted in an output shaft 3a of the motor 3. The above-described change of the flexplein is the change of the distance between the lateral surface of the spline 5 and a magnetic distance sensor 8. The magnetic distance sensor 8 outputs the change in the form of analog signals. The analog signals from the magnetic sensor 8 are amplified by an amplifier 13, recorded in a memory circuit 14 and outputted to a liquid crystal display 16 by a display drive circuit 15. Accordingly, it can be discriminated from the curves shown in the display 16 whether the dedoidal phenomenon is brought about in the harmonic drive reduction gear.
