CONSTITUTION:Logarithmic transformation tables ROM110-R, 110-G, 110-B apply logarithmic transformation to R, G, B signals after shading correction by a shading correction circuit 109. In this case, plural patterns are stored advance in the transformation table and an address changeover signal is used to select any pattern so as to vary the pattern of the transformation table or the amplification factor of the signal of the transmittivity of the film in response to at least any of the spectrum distribution of an illuminating light source at the time of photographing and the physical characteristics of the film. Thus, no skill is required for the operator and the color balance of the film is corrected properly with simple circuit constitution.
