Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of materials and personnel expenses as well as to obtain the product of high quality by a method wherein the connection between two points of the semiconductor product such as a hybrid IC and the like is conducted by a welding method using a wire, and the wire-connecting work is conducted continuously and automatically. CONSTITUTION:The title welding device is composed of a welding head and an X-Y stage, and it is equipped with the double cylindrical welded electrode consisting of an inner cylindrical welded electrode 17 and an outer cylindrical welded electrode 18, a wire clamper 24, to be used intermittently as occasion demands to hold the wire 15 to be used for connection, and a means 19 which is used to cut and mold after welding. The inside electrode 17 and the outside electrode 18 are electrically insulated, and they are connected to a welding power source terminal by a cord 26 respectively. The wire clamper 24 and scissors 19 are constructed in such a manner that they independently perform a vertical movement by the vertically moving mechanism mounted on a pulse motor 20 while maintaining an appropriate position with each other together with both electrodes 17 and 18. Besides, a spool (reel) 25, on which a wire 15 is wound, is attached to the upper part of the welding head, and also a holder having a rotatable structure is provided.
