Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively restrict the vibration of a throttle valve shaft and ball bearings, in a mechanism where both ends of the throttle valve shaft is rotatably supported with a suction barrel through the ball bearings, by interposing an elastic member between the inner race of one bearing and a stopper fixed on the throttle valve shaft. CONSTITUTION:Respective ball bearings 4, 5 are mounted inside bearing mounting parts 6, 6' formed on both sides of a suction barrel 1 and a throttle valve shaft 2 provided integratedly with a throttle valve 3 is rotatably supported through the ball bearings 4, 5. In this case, a stopper 10 is fixed on the throttle valve shaft 2, while being opposed to one surface of the ball bearing having a minute gap S between an inner race 5a and the throttle valve shaft 2. Between the stopper 10 and the inner race 5a, an elastic member 11 is interposed for applying elastic force axially to respective bearings 4, 5 in cooperation with the stopper 10 and the throttle valve shaft 2. The radial movement of the inner race 5a relative to the throttle valve shaft 2 is restricted through the elastic force of the elastic means 11 and frictional force between the inner race 5a and the stopper 10.
