Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively transfer the heat of a gas current by convection, to prevent the breakage of the title material due to external force, and to improve the capacity of a regenerator by providing the ruggednesses having a specified shape on the outer wall part of the refractory material in the direction vertical to a gas passage. CONSTITUTION:The outer profile 1 of the refractory material for the regenerator is made into an octagonal cylinder, and a gas is passed through the inside and outside of the cylinder. Ruggednesses 5, 4, and 6 are respectively provided on the inner wall 1d of the refractory material forming the inner passage, the outer wall part 1c forming the outer passage, and the ridge surface part 8b forming the bonding surface with another refractory material. Mountains and valleys are alternately and successively formed in the form of bellows on the ruggednesses 4-6, and the ridge of the mountain is vertical to the upper surface 1a and lower surface 1b of the refractory material on the inner wall part 1d and parallel to the upper surface 1a on the outer wall part 1c and the ridge surface part 8. The ruggednesses 4-6 are meshed with the adjacent refractory material, and a safe laying structure without slipping is provided.
