Abstract
PURPOSE:To rapidly recognize the information on the residual capacity of a card by providing a means for displaying the amt. of use which can be visually observed to the surface of an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION:This optical card 1 has a transparent substrate 6, a recording medium layer 7, a transparent adhesive agent layer 8, a transparent substrate 9 consisting of the same material as the material of the substrate 6, a black coating compd. layer 10, a protective layer 11, and a white coating compd. layer 12 below an error absence mark 4. The medium layer 7 is made of the coated film of a cyanine dye. While this film has a transparent blue color, the film is decolored or perforated by a light beam. A recording region 2 appears magenta and a region 5 for indicating the amt. of use appears blue when the card 1 is viewed from the front. The part of recorded tracks 3 in the region 2 is formed with information bit arrays and is slightly different from the other regions but the difference is not distinct.
