Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R1 is lower alkyl, phenyl; R2, R3 are H, lower alkyl; R4 is H, halogen; n is 2, 3) and its salt. EXAMPLE:6,8-Difluoro-1,4-dihydro-1-( 2-methoxyethyl )-4-oxo-7-(1-piperazinyl)qui noline-3-carboxylic acid. USE:Antibacterial. PREPARATION:The reaction between a compound of formula II (X is halogen) and another compound of formula III is carried out in the presence or in the absence of a solvent, in the presence or in the absence of a base such as triethylamine as an acid acceptor such as triethylamine at room temperature - 200 deg.C to give the compound of formula I. The compound of formula II is also novel.
