Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled controller showing excellent preventing effects on breeding and extermination of termites, having low toxicity to vertebrates, not containing harmful heavy metals, not contaminating natural environment, having high safety free from fear of accumulation and concentration, comprising a sesquiterpene as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The titled controller containing at least one of alpha-cadinol shown by formula I and t-murole shown by formula II as an active ingredient. The active ingredient is blended with a carrier and an auxiliary and used in the form of aqueous solution, oil agent, emulsion, granule or aerosol. The content of the active ingredient in formulation is preferably and practically 0.5-1wt.% in the case of solution and dust. The agent is applied to foundation, stake, structure of building part, soil thereof, materials to be coated such as electric wire or cable by coating, spraying, immersion, impregnation, scattering, blending or kneading. Since the agent has effects as an antiseptic, use of antiseptic is not required.
