Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the productivity of folded sheets by arranging a folding plate reciprocating in the direction across the sheet between a sheet supply roller and a sendout roller, folding the sheet in Z-form, and welding the folded part by a press. CONSTITUTION:Between a sheet supply roller 1 and a sendout roller 2, folding plates 15, 16 are installed, which reciprocates in the direction across the front and rear surfaces of a sheet a. When these folding plates 15, 16 are operated in the condition that the sendout roller 2 is stopped, the sheet a in skewing is folded in the S form and placed on a lower press 10. It is pressed by an upper press 9, and the folding part is welded by a fusion heater built in this press 9. Accordingly welding can be made at the same time as S-form folding and shaping, which enhances the productive efficiency.
