Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the residual magnetism without using a demagnetizer by decreasing an electric current gradually by the phase control by using a welding machine after the main electrification required for the welding is finished. CONSTITUTION:When a firing angle alpha of the phase control is enlarged gradually from alpha1 to alpha2, the current B' decreases gradually to the current C'. When a magnetic hysteresis loop (D) of a work takes place by the firing angle alpha1, the magnetic hysteresis loop of the work deceases gradually like (E) by the firing angle alpha2 and when said loop deceases, the residual magnetism also decreases. When a final value of the firing angle alpha of the phase control of the dwindling current is in the range of 150-180 deg., the residual magnetism <=10 gauss without hindrance practically can be attained. Accordingly, a phase shifter consisting of a resistance R0 and a capacitor C0 is provided at the primary side of a transformer TR1 of a current control circuit and even when the phase of a main power source is made to 180 deg., a main thyristor is ignited.
