Abstract

When the filter member is produced, the water repellent is firstly sprayed on one side in the thickness direction of a web, and sucked from the opposite side of the web to impregnate the web with the repellent. The material is then heated to fix the water repellent to the web. The web is then impregnated with the binder of water-based emulsion type, and hot-pressed to produce the filter member.
