Abstract

PURPOSE:To input a change in a fine line drawn by a writing brush or the like as it is by detecting the moving distance of a moving member to be moved unitedly with a pen chip and generating a signal corresponding to the magnitude of the moving distance. CONSTITUTION:In case of drawing 'KOKORO' which is a Chinese character meaning 'heart' in English, the left side of the character is drawn by abutting the pen chip 8 softly upon a writing medium at first and then strongly, the pen chip 8 is moved by gradually applying force to the pen chip 8 in the lower oblique direction and then jumped up in the upper left direction and two points are inputted by applying force properly. Said input is executed as the scale of the moving distance obtained when an iron core 9 is inserted into a hollow part of a coil 5 and its result is sent to a processor 12 as the output signal of analog voltage. Then, X and Y coordinates inputted to a digitizer 13 and pen pressure at each point are inputted as analog signals and processed. Consequently, the X, Y coordinates of the character 'KOKORO' and changes in the pen pressure on respective coordinates are drawn on a CRT 100 and the Chinese character 'KOKORO' is drawn like a character drawn by a writing brush.
